March 09 Tech No!!Now that my region free dvd player is dead I'm faced with a few ideas if not options. I'm thinking of getting a blu-ray burner for my computer and then burning several movies to one disc. Or I could just use a memory stick and rent or buy movies like that. Of course I don't really know enough about blu-ray as of yet or what kind of files formats work with blu-ray I'll try doing some more digging into this in the future. March 05 Tech No!!Well my region free dvd player just died today, and my comp is getting continuously worse. It's still trying to load this page as I type this it's at four bars out of twelve. Do I get a new computer? A blu-ray region free dvd player if such a thing exists? Well, no. I don't have the money. So damn depressing finally at five bars out of twelve. I need some new stuff grrr. February 05 Tech No!!Okay, in January I got a SPH-m510 Samsung cellphone. I used up the end of my pay-as-you-go card for that cellphone and put my old no.s on my new phone (not done yet.) I got a small card with my cellphone that I couldn't figure out how the hell it was supposed to get into my phone. I asked a friend and he said that it went into my computer, if I had a new computer. He said I could just get an adapter at Superstore. Superstore said that only Sasktel downtown could give me an adapter. Sasktel downtown said that only Samsung could give me an adapter. I went back to the place I bought my cellphone and they said, "here you go." Then I downloaded music off my computer and on to my phone, but I couldn't figure out how to access it. At about this time someone had left a message on my voicemail. I thought I had to pay for the service, so I thought forget this! Besides none of my friends leave messages anyway. Hehe, girls I meet might actually leave messages and be upset that I don't check them. A friend told me I didn't have to pay for voicemail cause I already had it. I cycled thru the 20 voice mail messages. Oh, what fun!! A few weeks later another friend located my music on my cellphone. While I love to check out what's cool and hip in tech, I think the Way Of The Ludite might still suit me better. Cheers! Well, I still have a computer, now on highspeed light. I have three cordless landline phones and am now thinking of getting rid of my landline phone. I'm starting to think
of getting a flip phone so it doesn't start calling people while I'm walking like the one I got now. I'm thinking of trying once again to get a SaskTel Bundle and get the Max
again. I think I might get this one

Ludite I amI'm such a ludite! Okay, I have a computer blah blah, but I still don't have a cellphone and there's now been three occasions where I've really needed one. Of course I'm still wondering if I should get one soon or not I hate "renting" something for a few years being tied to a contract especially a cellphone. After you buy it something better comes along. And then of course once you have a phone you have to answer it, or check the battery and remember that it's on or off depending where you are. The other problem I have is where to put the darn thing. See I love cyberpunk novels so I do like some of the ideas people have like getting tattoes of barcodes on your arms and legs, "Dude just zap the wand on this tattoo it's my debit card it's wicked cool cause now I don't need a wallet all my money and ID are on my arms and legs as well as my discount shit it's so sweet!" I mean with a cellphone you have to put it somewhere and I don't even want to cary a wallet see what I want is maybe the Dick Tracy watch it's really retro, you know a cellphone watch of course you need more room for all the digits...Or just make the watch bigger. Or just have detachable digits. Could you imagine some idiot making cellphones that look like guns? Man I have some horrible ideas sometimes. Well, sometime this year I might be looking into getting a cellphone and then I'll probably have to find a really annoying ringtone. October 08 Comp ProbsI've been trying to work on my Mom's computer for awhile now, IOS errors, OE errors, parts of the screen freezing, screen going black...slow downs...I know it's my fault, afterall, I never installed any firewalls or anything. I was thinking this comp would have died off and I'd get my Mom a new one. So yeah, the comp hasn't had any firewalls since, before 2000, so that tells you how old it is. Sometimes it sounds like it's just barely uploading or downloading a file. I tried formatting the hard drive, but the comp says it's got too much stuff on to format it. I tried reinstalling Win 98, but it said a file in the key is missing...so that was a waste of an hour. I installed a virus scanner and this is the second time I'm letting it run. I'm getting different viruses popping up this second time compared to the first. Very frustrating. Grrr! And of course so very slow. I can't find anything to delete on this comp, there's almost nothing on it that I can see. But something must be slowing it down...Think I'll take a break and celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving in my own way...Wonder if I just install an older comp if it would work better. Wish I could mod two into one decent one...oh well.
June 18 Have IPod IIOkay, so I can upload my iPod with 15 hours of music and only listen for 5 hours?? And I can't get a better battery? Well, doesn't this suck!? I mean when travelling I've got to find a place that I can recharge the battery, or take a charger with me? Sorry iPod this has got to improve!
