Sad Valentine

I love that old song, "Bad Valentine," by Transvision Vamp man, sometimes I kinda feel like a bad valentine, hehe. As I was entering the second half of my chapter test a guy yelled out something in Spanish which was a little weird considering he wasn't Spanish and the last class was Chinese.
After getting filled in on the details a guy was hitting on a Japanese girl, he was asking her how to say things in Japanese like I love you, nice hair that type of thing. Unfortunately, the guy has tourettes, and when his emotions get stirred up good or bad he yells profanities, which turned the girl off like a light switch. I don't know which one I feel more sorry for, it's gotta be rough having tourettes. How do you make friends, lovers and keep them? And when you're learning English how do you deal with tourettes-guy, I mean it's not his fault he's got it right? Well...The game of love goes on.

"I love you baby, even if I can't remember your name, what a shame" Bad Valentine by Transvision Vamp I'd be such a terrible valentine, hehe

I guess Brokeback Mt. would be somebody's choice for a Valentine's Day movie I'm told there's lots of heterosexual sex and less gay sex than the David Cronenberg's movie Crash. I'm also told these two guys meet every 5 years or something to rekindle a fire in the woods. Something about wood anyway, hehe. Man, I can't recognize people after two years it doesn't matter how long I knew them for.

Well, I've stalled long enough must do homework...Naah, laundery first!!

Jealous Of The Two Dimensional Women

Every once in awhile I wonder why women get jealous of women in magazines and the way guys stare at them. I mean some women will say things like, "quit objectifying women." And then they ask a woman to stand up and point at her and say things like, "every woman should be like her." When anyone stares at a picture in any magazine there's a lot more going on than simple desire. And it's not all about the "assets." Think about it. There's lighting, posing, colours, and many other things. What makes a two dimesional woman desirable, is the idea that she's trying to convey a message to her audience. She's trying to convey an emotion and ask for a response from the audience. "This is fun," or "this is scary,"etc.
Many men have about five or six facial expressions, whereas women are supposed to have at least 20. An emotional connection between a person and a picture is one thing, but the pinnacle is when two living creatures next to one another can have an emotional connection. This is something I rarely see, but it's amazing when it does. There's a bond there that can't be broken.

*********************************
I used to see this girl who would always look so sad, looking through magazines and never seeing anyone who looked like her. She thought she was ugly and no one could talk her out of her bad mood. The way she talked about the improvements she wanted to make to her face and body made me think she was going to mold a lump of clay into a statue. Something that could be objectified, she wanted people to stop and stare at her. Which I found ironic, because everyone was already stopping and staring at her hoping that one day she'd cheer up.
I wished that one day she'd realize that beauty comes from both within and without. I've never been able to stop an addict, or a suicidal person. I still haven't got a clue. I haven't seen her for awhile. I started a different shift. Wonder if she's still out there as gloomy as ever.
What's that old song by Bruce Coburn, "Burden Of The Angel Beast?" I'm not sure.
