2 Women
Category: Life
There is one girl I like. She's busy all the time. When I get to have
time with her I get to find out what she's up to. What she loves, what
she hates. I get to hear about her adventures and experiences. Of
course I rarely get to see
her. She is grateful for the things I do for her. She makes me laugh and smile. I feel relaxed when I'm with her.
The
second girl is free a lot of the time. She's free because she doesn't
like going out. She doesn't have a lot of friends. She doesn't really
know what she wants. She doesn't seem to take responsibility for her
life. When I'm with her she tells she doesn't like half the things I
do. But I'm the only who will do things with her. She isn't grateful for the things I do for her. I feel like we're together because we're both lonely and for no other reason. If
I could spend my life with girl one would I? I mean if she was around
more would I find more things to dislike about her? Would she still be
grateful? Would things change if she was around more? The second
girl...Well, when you're busy it means you're making money, having
friends, and you have a healthier lifestyle. The second girl...How will
she get friends if she doesn't have any now? How will she get out of
her shell? I guess if I love girl one now, I might love her less in the
future, but girl two I've leveled off with. There is no high to be
realized. We're just convenient for each other. She's jealous if I meet
friends if she's busy, and is ungrateful. So it's just the lonliness
that binds us.

Ok, I wrote several different blogs about the PS3 and the Wii but nothing that needs to be repeated. Amazing how these two systems are still fighting it out. I think the Xbox is still winning the battle though. Just read this old entry. You have to know yourself and what you want before you start to look for another. When you find someone who isn't moving forward in their life it's harder to have feelings for them. On that note, I just got my 15 year pin. You can definitely say that job-wise I'm in a rut. Heh, guess that means that in other ways I have to move forward, eh?

There was a TV reporter in the parking lot of an elctronics store in Edmonton. He asked if the group of guys in tents were waiting for the new PS3s. They looked at each other and laughed. "Nope, we don't have any houses. We work here 12 hours a day and can't afford housing. We hear in two weeks a McDonalds is closing and we'll be able to move in there." The reporter looked a little evil and said, "Are you guys afraid you're giving true homeless vagrants a bad name?" The camaraman ran off without waiting for a reply so the reporter also ran away. Edmonton: You can work 12 hours a day, and still be homeless. ********************* Saw a guy beating up another guy. The victim was looking on in shock never even making a single sloppy attempt to block a punch or runaway. The prey eventually pushed his victim down. "How dare you spend my ex wifes' money at the bars and casinoes! I'm the dead beat dad here! How dare you try to usurp my position! I worked hard to get where I am! Trust me, you don't want me to change places with you!!" The prey walked away with a limp and dirty clothes. The nicely dressed victim picked himself off the ground looked at me threateningly. Then quickly ran into the bar and got a cab. ************************* The only hotel in Candle Lake has burned to the ground. It was the only one in the area and was badly mismanaged. I wonder if someone will have one up before the summer. One less bar in town, that's gonna suck. Weird. I'd always go to the other bar the Candle Junction I think it's called. Maybe they'll open a hotel.

A new fast food chain called Taco Del Mar. Our first fast food chain that serves alcohol. In the future Grimace will get really pissed and kill a Fry Guy. I miss the Hamburglar, The Mayor, Cop, etc. They seemed to all have been killed off when Birdie arrived.

I wonder if Edmonton has slowed down in any way. Divorces and marriages seem pretty sketchy to me these days. They might not be for me right now, but who knows what the future may bring? Candle Lake? If I went there often enough I'd try to keep up with that stuff. Small town life puts a lot of things into perspective, the environment, consumerism etc. Yeah, I wonder whatever happened to those guys, hmmm.

K Fed Dumps Britney
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
K Fed said today that he broke up with Britney to show he didn't need
her money to continue making his latest album. Instead of using backup
singers he would be using his kids or orphans with ear plugs. The album
is said to be bigger than than Janet Jacksons second album, the last
album her dad helped her with. K Fed is trying to get OJ Simpson to do
some rapping on at least one song and he wants Fergie to help him write
lyrics about his man parts. K Fed, we expect great things from others.
I mean, from you.

water polluted in extraction process
The study says that strip mining in the oilsands requires two to 4.5
cubic metres of water to extract one cubic metre of synthetic crude oil.
The water becomes heavily polluted in the process and only 10 per
cent is returned to the river, with the rest held in huge storage ponds
that are among the largest manmade structures on Earth.
"These environmental damages related to bitumen production … could
eventually affect an area about one-fifth the size of Alberta, or about
the size of England or Greece, since this is the extent of the
deposits," the study says.
Saskatchewan stands to be especially affected.
"Saskatchewan borders on Lake Athabasca affected by Athabasca and
Peace River flows. In view of increasing withdrawals of water in
Alberta, combined with the effects of climate change, a firm agreement
between the provincial and territorial governments is urgent," the
study says.
It recommends a moratorium on further oilsands projects until the water problems can be solved.
http://www.cbc.ca/canada/edmonton/story/2006/11/13/oilsands-water.html#skip300x250 Nov. 8th 2009 Alberta’s Oil Sands: Key Issues and Impacts
Northern Alberta’s oil sands
are increasingly becoming a source of political conflict, both
domestically and globally, as scrutiny of the world’s second-largest
known oil reserve intensifies. While recent production in the oil sands
has driven rapid economic growth in Alberta, there is increasing
concern that this growth is causing unprecedented ecological harm.
Major environmental non-government organizations (ENGOs), such as Greenpeace and the Pembina Institute, and local First Nations have begun to call for a moratorium
on new oil sands projects until associated environmental destruction
can be mitigated. At the same time, prominent political observers, such
as former Alberta Premier Peter Lougheed,
have argued publicly that development in the oil sands is proceeding at
a rate that is not economically and socially beneficial for Alberta. As
the primary regulatory body responsible for the oil sands, the Alberta
government is responsible for shaping most of the economic, social and
environmental policies that guide oil sands development. Numerous
complex and divisive policy problems that all demand resolution compete
for the government’s attention. The provincial government, however, has
remained generally hostile to any calls for a slowdown in oil sands
growth.
This article provides an overview of the major environmental,
social, and economic policy problems that figure prominently in the
debate over the future of oil sands development.

Fergie, Big Girls Don’t Cry
Category: Music
I hear this song everyday at work and it drives me nuts!!
I hope you know, I hope you know That this has nothing to with you It's personal, Myself and I We've got some straightenin' out to do And I'm gonna miss you like a child misses their blanket But I've got to get a move on with my life Its time to be a big girl now And big girls don't cry
"This has nothing to do with you" Whew, what a relief. "We've got some straightenin' out to do" Damn! If it's all YOU what's with this WE shit!!!??
Why couldn't they just change "we" to "I," or is the song one of those, "there's something wrong and you have to figure it out," type deals. Where Fergie is just being a big B*?
PLAIN WHITE T'-SHIRT LYRICS
"Hey There Delilah"
HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!! HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!!
Hey there Delilah
What's it like in New York City? I'm a thousand F* miles away But girl, tonight you look so hot on my cellphone Yeh you do Times Square can't shine as bright as you I swear it's f*in true
(guitar solo)
HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!! HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!!
Hey there Delilah Don't you worry about the distance I'll be right there if you get horny Give this song another f*in listen Close your eyes F*in listen to my voice, it's all I can give I'm by your side
What the f* you do to me!? What the f* you do to me!? How could this be? Your the greatest beauty I can see! What the f* you do to me!?
HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!! HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!!
Hey there Delilah I know times are getting f*in hard But just believe me, girl I'll make lots of money with my guitar and singing hard We'll have it great! We'll have the life we always should So just you wait!!
HEY! HEY! HEY! HEY!! HEY! HEY! HEY!!
Hey there Delilah I've still got a lot to f*in say Every song I wrote to you Should take your breath away I love you true
What the f* you do to me!? What the f* you do to me!? How could this be? Your the greatest beauty I can see! What the f* you do to me!?
You're two years away and 2 thousand miles Still I see your picture and my frowns all turn to smiles
*************** Even trying to make this song heavy metal it just seems really whiny. I mean it is a sad song. Distance of time and space isn't exactly happy, but does it have to be whiny? I guess my real problem is this guy telling his girl he's going to make it big
as a whiny little rock star. If I was to write a song like this it'd be
more when we get together what it'll be like and the future being
awesome. "Good" just doesn't cut it for me.
*********************
Oct. 23rd 2009
Reading Delilah now makes me think it's more of a speed metal song than heavy metal. Thank God I no longer hear these songs on the radio or at work :)

My Dragon’s Den Idea
Category: Movies, TV, Celebrities
We have the old Superstore building downtown. I'd like to turn it into a skateboard park in the summer and a skating rink in the winter. I'm told figure skating needs different ice than hockey ice so that's my reasoning. The upstairs could be used for sports announcers, coaches and celebritiy guests. Have a section built for selling and fixing gear. And build a storage shed to put things in between seasons. Charging for parking during Rider games,
or coming up with a parking pass for regular skaters is also a
possibility. One of the loading bays could be turned into a restaurant
while the other could be made into change rooms. Actually turning the old deli into a restaurant could work too. Not sure how much money can be made off of figure skating, but having competitions in skateboarding should be fairly lucrative. If figure skating doesn't work than all year round skateboard park could be a good opportunity. Best Regina Skater gets a life-size airbrush on the wall along with the year and the company name of that years sponsor. Maybe even get a local artist to do the piece.
Yeah yeah, I'd be looking at maybe 3 million dollars start up fees. I mean the building itself is probably a million or more and then the renovation costs, advertisements etc. Maybe just start it as an indoor skateboard park and see how well it does. Shut the park down every once in awhile when a dealership wants the parking lot. Aah, the dragon's would eat me alive for this bad idea, eh? |
10月2日 Hmm, think I'll just do this series about once a week.
October 07 When
I first signed on to do this Community Service for the crimes I
committed I had no idea everyone I was working with had also been
criminals. Each one had done therir Community Service time and had
stayed on trying to keep the charity afloat. The place was a crisis
center of sorts. Or maybe a community watchdog center. We tried to keep
in touch with people who didn't have addresses, give them moral
support, food and teach them how to make shelters out of things people
through away. We couldn't allow any of them to know our location
because we didn't have the resources to house them. While I was there
doing my time some anonymous people from police stations, detective
agencies and other groups would drop off computers and cellphones and
explain how to use these new resources to better understand our place
in the city. We learned what the government was doing and how their
decisions directly affected us and the people we were trying to help.
For the most part the people we were trying to help died. I
pesonally wondered if I was right for the job, I had killed people
before, but those people deserved it and tried to fight back, not like
these weak-willed impoverished people that apologized to me before
committing suicide. I was told that our job wasn't to really to get
jobs, or quit drugs or whatever, it was more letting them know that we
were there to listen and make them feel that their lives mattered.
*******************************************
Now, just to ruin this story a bit, this might make it in the
Bruce's Monster series I'm working on. These guys could become Batman's
eyes and ears in the criminal community and help him understand what
laws and business plans must be changed in order to create a more
pleasant enviornment for the less fortunate in the city.
The second ruining of this scrapped story is that this Community
Service is also a small arm of a criminal organization that is
prostituting women to high paying people in the public and private
sectors.
Someday I might continue this, but right now is bedtime, why do I
work at 1am? I mean ten people just quit in fourteen days, why don't I?
The main reason isn't the work it's the bosses. In about "five years"
I'll have my first "book" out or at least I hope to, of course I'll be
going to Asia in "five years" right now though, I'm struggling with the
rent. Ugh, I hope things get better soon.
********************************
Think I'll start this with "me" leaving prison with the prisoners
singing the Cheers song, "You wanna go where people are all the same,
you wanna go where everyone knows your name, PRISON." 3月19日 I was looking around www.blackcomentator.com today and discovered this from a link on http://www.tookie.com/letter_to_jailed_youth.no.1.htm If you look at my Stealing From Myself you'll discover some of my feelings on the death of Tookie that I wrote on a different blog. It's amazing that he still has a website out there in the net, and if I ever got the ambition to complete my Community Service story you can bet that on the back of the front door I'd have a sign that would read, "Pause. Think before you act. Remember Tookie and his words...
My Letter To Incarcerated Youth, No. 1
I've been on San Quentin's death row for more than 21 years. I hope that this brief message will provoke thoughts of change among you.
Across this nation, countless young men and women, like you, are vegetating in juvenile halls and in youth authorities. More and more prisons are being constructed to accommodate your generation when you grow to adulthood. The question is, can you become motivated enough to defy the expectations that many people have of you?
For those of you who are fortunate enough to regain your freedom, prepare an agenda to survive outside the walls of incarceration. Learn about computer technology, politics and the sciences.
On the other hand, if some of you are facing a lot of time, I suggest that you strive to educate and discipline your mind. If you have access to a library, read every relevant book that you can get your hands on. Educate yourselves about history, world religions, math, English, spirituality and your culture.
It's time to flip the script. You or I can complain 24x7 about the problems of poverty, drugs, violence, racism and other injustices, but unless we choose to initiate a personal change, we will remain puppets of unjust conditions. Unless we change, we will be incapable of changing the circumstances around us.
In conclusion, there are two ways to view your incarceration: either your present situation will convince you to straighten up your life or it will be the beginning of a wasteful future behind bars. Or worse - you'll end up on death row.
11月28日 I'm kinda stealing from myself with that video game called Pleasing Your Partner that I came up with
in my Christmas Gifts entry. Could you imagine going to a video arcade place where every game was
a learning device for something in real life? Imagine video games that could teach and educate people
for specialized jobs like doctors and lawyers. What about video games to help learn languages and how
to express yourself in an affirmative way instead of a negative way? I really need these kinds of things!!
I was on MSN chat recently and said something in an off-beat romantic way. Something like, "Don't try
to be a god, just try to be the angel that you are." Hehe, just a little off-beat thingy. The reply I got was,
"Yes sir!" Hehe, I was shocked. I don't know if she thought I was commanding her to be an angel, or
whether she was just adding to my joke.
*****************
Wow, I really Love this song Honey And The Moon that Danielle Of Italy let me listen to. I'm going to just
sit back and listen to it now. After I'll see if there's a video on youtube and maybe link it here. 7月20日

Well okay, maybe I don't really get the whole meaning of sociopath. but here's something I wrote in this blog on Canada Day that I think comes kinda close. Sometimes I get an idea for a character and not a story. And this is one of them. I got the idea from an episode of Forever Knight where one revolutionary is trying to explain why they do what they do, and the eldar vampire keeps trying to tell the younger vampire that everyone is out to get him. I never much liked this old Canadian TV show, but I did like the relationship between the eldar vampire and the young vampire. Teaching thru disinformation, being prodded like a pawn only to realize how much responsibility and deductive reasoning you really have.
Yikes! There was a soundtrack for this show? Double yikes!! Blonde was the eldar vampire?? Wow! My memory made this show better!! "If you love something, let it go. If it doesn't come back...Kill it." the eldar vampire.

If I was Arnie I would have sentenced Mr. Williams to a horrible torture. A longer life full of woes. I'd make him commit random acts of community service going to some of the worst areas of the states and telling kids to get out of the mob, because they might have to face what he does. Ten years of community service and then the needle. I'd have Mr. Williams become a spokesman for a charity organization to help give kids a voice in the community and show them how to shine without drugs, guns or violence. Why not have Mr. Williams die a martyr for the disbanding of criminals? I'd also force Mr. Williams to continue writing books, and reading to kids. He'd have to do these things in order to keep living and I think he'd actually enjoy it and the benefits would be great for everyone concerned. Alas, I'm not Arnie. And no one actually reads these things. | |

Mr Schwarzenegger faces a tough choice, for Williams, 51, is a model of jailhouse redemption. Although he has always maintained his innocence, he has renounced his gang life and written children's books aimed at steering them away from gangs. He has counselled gang members from behind bars, been nominated five times for the Nobel peace prize, and his life story has been made into a film starring Jamie Foxx.
"His status was legendary," said Najee Ali, a former gang member turned community activist who served two years in prison. "He was the first ghetto superstar. He's what we call a big homie. So many preachers, politicians and law enforcement officers talk about stopping gang violence but they don't have any experience of it. But when you have the founder of the most well-known gang in history, it speaks a lot."
